I grew up in the city of murals, surrounded by art, culture, and history. My father, a Puerto Rican from Cataño, worked his way up at Philadelphia Gas Works, and my mom worked as a school crossing guard after a career at American Belt.

From a young age, I was drawn to design. I attended APM Community Child Care Center, where I learned about Taino and Boriqua culture, art, and history. My creativity was sparked by doodling in school and immersing myself in Saturday morning cartoons.
